A common theme among (digital) transformation projects is dealing with silos.
Siloed operations, siloed data, siloed systems… appear regularly on kick-off slides.
Silos are limiting. They ultimately limit efficiency, value creation, revenues.
Hives – across from silos – represent the opposite end of the spectrum for integration, collaboration, cooperation, and everything else.
Hives do not happen, silos do.
It takes effort to organise like hives and to avoid silos.
Take away the effort and it is very likely the result is a silo.
